PRECINCT LABS
Walksheets · Field and GOTV · by Precinct Labs

Every volunteer gets a loop they can actually walk.

Walksheets turns a turf into a printed packet and a phone map, with every door in walking order. Volunteers park near the first stop, follow the numbers, and finish close to where they started. You get more doors per shift and fewer lost walkers.

01 · The printed packet

A packet that answers the walker's questions before they ask

Each packet covers one turf in one precinct. The sheets are the source of truth; the map gets the walker close.

Turf cover sheet

A route map and the numbers a walker needs to plan the shift.

  • Green ring marks stop 1 and where to park; red marks the last stop
  • Dashed walking route, streets color coded, house numbers on the map
  • Doors, voters, loop distance and about how long it takes
  • Space for notes to the next walker: dogs, gates, a razed house

The sheets

Walk list

Stops in walking order, with one card per voter at each address.

  • Stop numbers and colors match the map
  • Age, sex and party to confirm the right person
  • Three conversation questions with answers to circle
  • Simple codes when nobody talks: NH not home, MVD moved

02 · On the phone

The same walk, live on the walker's phone

Volunteers open a link you text them. No app to install and no account to create.

Map view

One stop at a time

  • The current house and how many registered voters live there
  • Tap done after each door; the map grays it out and moves on
  • Doors done out of total, with a progress bar that fills as they go
  • One tap opens directions in their own maps app

List view

Never lost

  • Every stop in walking order, matched to its street color
  • Tap an address to jump the map there
  • Check off a skipped door, or undo a check
  • Reset to start the turf over

03 · Why it works

Built around how volunteers really walk

Loops, not lists

Routes start and end near the car, so walkers spend the shift at doors instead of doubling back.

Paper and phone agree

Stop numbers and street colors match on the sheets, the map and the phone, so a walker can switch between them without losing their place.

Easy to hand off

A four-page walker's guide explains every part of the packet, so a new volunteer can start with a five-minute read.
